Group and Deputy Group Commander

The Cadet Group Commander (GP/CC) of USAFJROTC Unit CA-20063 is the senior cadet leader responsible for the overall leadership, performance, discipline, and effectiveness of the cadet corps. The Group Commander establishes priorities and goals, directs subordinate commanders and staff, oversees major unit activities and events, conducts or leads staff meetings, monitors the performance of subordinate units, and ensures that cadets maintain proper standards of conduct, appearance, military bearing, and professionalism. The Group Commander also works closely with the SASI/ASI, represents the cadet corps at official functions, and ensures that the unit's activities and objectives are properly planned, coordinated, and executed.

The Deputy Group Commander (GP/CD) serves as the principal assistant and second-in-command to the Group Commander, helping translate the commander's goals and decisions into effective action throughout the corps. The Deputy coordinates with squadron commanders and group staff, monitors assigned tasks and deadlines, assists with meetings, accountability, planning, inspections, promotions, awards, and major events, and keeps the Group Commander informed of the status of the organization. The Deputy may also be assigned specific areas of responsibility and, most importantly, assumes command of the cadet corps when the Group Commander is absent or unable to perform their duties, ensuring continuity of leadership and maintaining the effectiveness of CA-20063.
