The Group and deputy play a crucial role in shaping the character, discipline, and organizational skills of the cadets involved. Both the Group and deputy are in command and control the unit using his/her staff and subordinate leaders.
They ensures proper appearance, discipline, efficiency, training, and conduct of the
unit.
They conduct a bi-monthly cadet staff meeting and briefs the SASI on all group
activities.
Manage attainment of AFJROTC mission, goals, and objectives.
Finally, they assist the SASI and ASI as necessary.
CA-20063 is almost entirely cadet led. The instructors take a step back, letting the cadets make mistakes, and learn what it is like to be true leaders.
